It just fizzled in!

I really like how this worked:

I was looking at an entry of mine, but wasn't logged in. So I logged in using the toolbar. And, instead of refreshing the page and all of that, it just sorta... fizzled in my "edit" and "tag" buttons under my icon.

I have no idea if LJ does that or not, but I'm really quite amused by it in DeeWee.

OMG, "DeeWee!" I was just thinking this morning about the term "eljay" and I thought, "What sort of funny nickname will Dreamwidth get?" And then I read your post and you made my heart so squeeishly happy.

I have all the best icons, but I haven't ported any of the others over yet. I am thesis writing, and it's my default "thesis" icon. Oh, the card catalog and the boxes of papers and I are getting along famously. :)

For the record, it almost certainly *did* refresh the page, it just did it so quickly that all you saw was the new stuff being added. (DW doesn't have AJAX-y goodness when logging in like that.)
