Help spiffy me!

This comm needs to be more awesome. I am not so much with the stylistic magic. Any suggestions for how to spiffify?

Do you mean by rearranging colours and so forth? For that I think making it something other than the blue adn orange.

Because of the name, I would be tempted to go with colours that work well with the Dreamwidth logo/name, with black text on a white ground.

I can mess about with some colour options if you like.

Yeah. Rearranging colors, maybe adding a background image. Maybe changing the layout or something. Something to make it look cooler. Any help you could offer would be appreciated. :)

I played with colors a bit; no background image because I have visual issues and business is hard for me. I used (close to) the DW logo colors, with greys from the "limited" part of the icon. It's on my webspace. -- ignore what it did to user icons and the little bitty icons...I was using a color replacer and I'm a bit shaky today.

I like the red/grey/pink palate, but it might be too valentine's day for some...

If you've got a color scheme in mind I can experiment with it if you like.

May I suggest [community profile] dreamwidthlayouts? There is only one layout posted there so far, but it is awesome. I'm using the chocolate one now.

... Wait a sec. Isn't that the layout that gave me this error? Or... hmm. I still get it on [personal profile] zorkian's journal, but it seems to work right on yours. Now I'm confused.

Yup. It's the same layout. I'm not sure why you are getting an error. Looking at the journal you linked to, I'm not seeing any problem there either.

The person who created the layout seems to be very willing to answer questions, you might want to contact them if you decide you want to use it.

I wish I could be more of a help, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to these sort of things. lol

We were talking about it on IRC. Seems to be a Firefox issue. I held off reporting it for a bit because it was Open Beta night, and I figured there were more important things going on.

But yeah, I think I'll leave a comment over there and ask about it. It's one of those things that should be fixed, if possible.
